Scope and provider
This Privacy Policy describes how Fuzhou Luhuo Technology Co., Ltd. (福州炉火科技有限公司, “Luhuo Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the MoListen mobile application (“MoListen” or the “App”).
It applies to the iOS version of MoListen submitted for or distributed through Apple’s App Store. This policy is written primarily in English. A Chinese translation is provided for convenience; if the two versions differ, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
On-device processing
MoListen is designed so that its core meeting workflow happens locally on your device. This includes:
- recording audio that you actively choose to record;
- importing audio files that you select;
- speech transcription and speaker separation;
- translation; and
- AI meeting summaries and reviews.
These recordings and generated results are stored in the App’s local storage. We do not operate a cloud-processing pipeline for this content, and this content is not uploaded to our servers.
Information handled
Information we do not collect through the App
We do not require account registration for the local features described above. We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or cross-app trackers. We do not collect your recordings, imported audio, transcripts, translations, meeting reviews, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifier on our servers.
Information you send to us
If you contact us by email, we receive the email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use that information only to respond, provide support, protect our rights, and meet applicable legal obligations. We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Limited information handled by service providers
When you download an offline model or complete an App Store purchase, the relevant provider may process limited technical or transaction information as explained in Sections 5 and 6. We do not send your meeting content with those requests.
Permissions
- Microphone: used only when you actively start a recording. You may revoke access at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Microphone.
- Files and media: used only to access audio or export content that you deliberately select through the iOS document picker or share sheet. MoListen does not scan unrelated files.
- Internet: used for user-initiated model downloads, purchase verification or restoration, and opening external links. Meeting content is not attached to these network requests.
The precise permission labels may differ by iOS version. You can review or change permissions in iOS Settings.
Offline model downloads
When you choose to download an offline AI model, your device may connect directly to ModelScope or Hugging Face. The request may reveal technical information that is normally required to deliver a file, such as your IP address, request time, requested model or file, browser or network headers, and basic network logs.
We do not attach or send your audio, transcripts, translations, speaker labels, or meeting reviews with a model-download request. The provider’s handling of its own logs is governed by its policy:
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple—not Luhuo Tech—collects and processes your payment credentials.
MoListen may receive or access a verified product identifier, entitlement or subscription status, and expiration date so that it can unlock, verify, or restore purchased features. We do not receive your full card number, bank-account details, or complete payment credentials. Apple processes purchase data under its Privacy Policy.
Sharing, disclosure, and sale
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share your locally stored recordings, audio, transcripts, translations, speaker labels, or meeting reviews with third parties.
If you intentionally use the operating system’s share function, only the content you select is sent to the person, app, or service you choose. That transfer is initiated and controlled by you, and the recipient’s privacy practices apply after it receives the content.
We may disclose information actually in our possession if required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, or our legal rights. Because we do not receive your local meeting content, we cannot disclose content we do not possess.
Retention and deletion
Your local content remains on your device until you delete the relevant record, remove a downloaded model, clear the App’s local data, or uninstall the App. Because we do not hold this content on our servers, we cannot remotely restore, access, or delete it for you.
Information processed independently by Apple, ModelScope, Hugging Face, your chosen sharing destination, or your email provider is retained under that provider’s policy. Support messages sent directly to us are retained only as described in Section 3. You may ask us to delete personal information that we actually hold by emailing the address in Section 11, subject to any legal retention obligation.
Children’s privacy
MoListen is designed for business and professional meeting use and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
Security and third-party services
Keeping meeting content on the device limits transmission and cloud-storage risks. Access to local data is also protected by your device and operating-system controls. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
This public policy page is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. When you visit it, Cloudflare may process standard web-request information, such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, and security or delivery logs, under Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy. This policy page does not use advertising or analytics scripts and does not set its own tracking cookies.
Third-party services may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy policies govern that processing. Where we engage a provider to process personal information on our behalf, we require it to provide protection consistent with this policy and applicable law. Where applicable, the provider is also responsible for using lawful transfer mechanisms.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy if the App’s features, data practices, service providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this URL, update the “Last updated” date, and provide an in-app or release-page notice when a change is material.
